BEAUTY TIPS

Beauty Tips For Naturally Beautiful Skin

Not sure what to look for when choosing cosmetics? Need some advice on taking care of your skin? Here are different  tips to help your skin look and feel it's best.
1) Select moisturizers made with vegetable oils. The lotions, creams and body oils that you use should be made with vegetable oils, not mineral oil. Vegetable oils, (like olive oil, sweet almond oil, corn oil, etc.) contain fatty acids which help to moisturize and soften the skin. Mineral oil is derived from oil and does not contain anything that helps to nourish the skin.
2) Look for herbs and herbal derivatives in your cosmetics. Herbs and their derivatives (essential oils, extracts, infusions) contain natural chemicals which soothe, tone and help condition the skin. Two herbs which are especially useful in natural cosmetics are Lavender and Tea tree. The essential oils of both lavender and tea tree are gentle, natural antiseptics.
3) Once a week soak your feet in warm water, and gently exfoliate dead skin with a pumice stone. Follow up by moisturizing your feet with a natural foot oil or foot lotion.
4) Every week soak in a tub of bath salts. Salt, especially salts mined from the Dead Sea in the Middle East, are rich in minerals and help draw impurities out of the skin.
5) After a shower or bath, seal in moisture by using a body oil or lotion made from natural vegetable oils.
6) If you have blemishes and your skin is dry, moisturize your skin in the morning and at night with products that contain vegetable oils which are high in essential fatty acids. Necessary fatty acids help to soften and hydrate the skin and they can also help soothe minor irritations. Vegetable oils that contain large amounts of essential fatty acids are: corn oil, sunflower seed oil, safflower oil, borage oil, blackcurrant seed oil and evening primrose oil.
7) Look for toners and astringents that are made without ethyl alcohol, rubbing alcohol or isopropyl alcohol. These ingredients are solvents that are extremely drying to the skin.  8) Every time you wash your hands, moisturize them with a natural lotion or cream to help them stay soft.

MAKE UP

MEHNDI

MEHNDI
Mehndi (henna) in India is a exquisite temporary form of skin decoration traditionally drawn in delicate , patterns on the hands and feet of women, naturally for any festival or occasion, especially for big celebrations like weddings. Though it has been used for body art and hair dye since the Bronze Age, henna has had a recent renaissance in Euro-American (Western) culture of glamorous creations of body art (‘henna tattoos’ at carnivals, festivals and fun fairs / holistic fairs), growing in difficulty and expansion, with new innovations in glitter, gilding, and fine line work.
Mehndi has great importance in all Eastern wedding customs. The ‘Mehndi Ceremony’ (mehndi ki raat, exactly translated - Mehndi Night), is one of the most important and grandest pre-wedding functions. It is something like the ‘the West, with all the bride’s female relatives and friends getting bachelorettes’ of together to celebrate. In some religions, unless the mother-in-law has applied the first dot of mehndi to the bride’s hand, the application cannot go ahead. The mehndi dot is considered to be a symbolic permission, delivery of which permits the new daughter-in-law to beautify herself for the groom. There’s nothing sacred or spiritual about it, but it is considered beneficial and lucky, as well as beautiful. The designs adorn both the front and back of the hands, sometimes all the way up to the elbows and the feet, sometimes all the way up to the knees. Some popular beliefs are that the darker the design, the more her in-laws and in particular, the husband, will love her and that a darker design signifies the strength of love/affection/passion in the marriage.
It has become a trendy alternative to tattoos, with Hollywood actors and celebrities making this painless art famous. Recent technological innovations in grinding, sifting, temperature control, and packaging henna, as well as government encouragement for henna cultivation, have improved dye content and artistic possible for henna. Women in countries where women are traditionally dejected from working outside the home can find socially acceptable, lucrative work doing henna.
My personal opinion is that this might have been artificial to make the bride sit patiently for the paste to dry and yield a dark and deep design. I also believe that for the bride, the process is therapeutic in calming and preparing her for the event, as she is forced to relax and wait for the paste to do its job properly. A bride is not expected to perform any chores until her wedding mehndi has faded; another reason to have a dark and deep design. A bride's wedding designs usually includes a hidden inscription of the groom's name on her palm. It's believed, if the groom fails to find his name within the intricate patterns, the bride will be more central in married life. Sometimes the “wedding night” is not allowed to commence until the groom has found his name. This is also seen as a ruse to let the groom touch the bride's hands in order to find his name, thus initiating a physical relationship. Another superstition regarding Mehndi is that if an unmarried girl receives scrapings of mehndi from a bride, she will soon find a suitable match.
Commercially available henna powder is made by drying the henna leaves and milling them to powder, and then sifting it. This powder is mixed with lemon juice, strong tea, coffee, cloves, tamarind, lemon and sugar. Essential oils with high levels of "tarps", monoterpene alcohols such as tea tree, eucalyptus, cajuputs, or lavender will improve skin stain characteristics. The henna mix has a toothpaste-like regularity and is applied with a one of many traditional tools or the modern cello-wrap cone.
Pure, natural henna does not allow for a full range of colures but only shades of reds, oranges and browns. While it leaves a chocolate brown or deep mahogany red stain on the hands and feet, it can be lighter on other parts of the body; the shades can vary depending on the individual skin. Henna tattoos last at least a week depending on the quality and freshness of the paste, application, skin chemistry and aftercare. It usually takes many hours to get a good henna stain on the skin, and is relatively safe. Allergic and irritant reactions are very rare. On the other hand, the fast black stains of henna boosted with para-phenylene diamine (PPD for short) can cause lifelong health damage.

HAIR COLOURING

The look of first gray hair raises panic amongst most people. Although it is a common phenomenon but still people try dreadfully to delay its arrival. If you are also nervous about your hair turning gray then it is better that you know why hair turns gray and then know how you can apply hair color to hide it
Why our hair turns gray?
To answer this question you first have to understand the structure of the hair.
Follicle is a tissue that lies beneath the skin. This tissue surrounds our hair. Each follicle contains a single hair. The follicle contains pigment cells called melanocytes which produce eumelanin and pheomelanin. The eumelanin is black or dark brown in color whereas the pheomelanin is reddish yellow. They pass the melanin to the cells of the hair which determines the color of our hair. So it is melanin which determines whether we have black, red, blonde or brown hair.
If melanocytes become less active they will deposit less pigment in the hair and our hair will appear lighter. With time, the melanocytes die off thus leaving no cells to produce color and we experience graying of hair.
The age at which you will experience graying of hair depends on a lot of factors. Your age, genetic factors and hormones are the major factors that determine when you will get gray hair. The genes regulate the potential of hair follicles to produce pigments. This is the reason why it is often found that people belonging to the same family starts getting gray hair at the same age.
There are other external factors also that influence graying of hair like pollutants, climate and publicity to chemicals. Premature graying of hair occurs due to faulty diet, stress, thyroid diseases etc.
Gray hair is often related to old age and makes people unhappy. But with all the hair colors that are available in the market you can dye your hair in any color and show off a younger you.
How to choose hair colors?
For ages people have been using natural ingredients to give their hair a different tint. Henna and black walnut shells were more commonly used. Bleaching agents like vinegar were also used to change the color of the hair. Nowadays a lot of hair colors are available in the market from which you can select the one that suits your needs.
Temporary hair colors
Temporary hair colors change the color of the hair by depositing acidic dyes on the outside of the hair shaft. These colors also contain small pigment molecules that can enter the hair shaft and change the color.
With shampooing the color molecules get dislodged and the hair finally gets back its own color.
Permanent hair colors
Permanent hair color uses ammonia to open up the cuticles and the coloring agents penetrate the cortex of the hair. Peroxide is regularly used in hair colors which break the chemical bond. A new color is bonded to the hair cortex which becomes permanent.
So, you know how hair turns gray. Now it is up to you whether you want to show off your gray hair or color them to look younger

HAIR CUTS

For long hair haircut with layers give the face a soft and female look. We often think of long layered hairs as a particular single style. In realism, the long layered haircuts come in many styles like the long face framing layers, choppy layers, layers with blunt bangs, layers with side-swept bangs, curly long layers, layered bobs etc. Depending on the shape of the face, you can select any type of layered haircuts that ensemble you.

Let us be very honest. We are all a little jealous of those who have good-looking long hair. Anybody can keep up a short bob cut or any other short haircut. though, long hair is harder to preserve or so we think. In actuality, unlike short hair, long layered haircuts suits all kind of facial shapes and can be maintained with the same amount of care that goes into short hair.
Hairstylists group faces into eight basic shapes and affect the long layered haircuts consequently. Oval shaped faces are measured the most flexible of facial shapes because it complements a multiple array of long layered haircuts. Some what the only cut to keep away from is having too many layers on top of the head, which makes the face look longer or thin
However, this is faithfully what women with round faces require to add some length to their face. Haircuts with layers that fall just below the chin take away the roundness of the face from the sides as well, giving it a more egg-shaped shape.
Diamonds may be a girl's close friend, but a diamond shaped face can also shine the same way with the right long layered haircuts. Wear long layered hair brushed away from forehead or loose around the top to give width to it. Layers should fall in wisps around the wide chin to secrete its widthLAYERED HAIR CUTS
Women with square faces often want to take away the ends and bring some roundness to it. Long layered haircuts with wispy medium bangs falling around the jaw line usually add that smoothness and feminine curve to the face. Layers should not be allowed to grow chin length or longer   case.
Hairstyles are all about hiding the drawbacks and attractive the reward. Women with heart shaped faces want to take the notice away from their wider forehead and add quantity to their jaw line. Soft long hair with layers far-reaching across the cheekbone will be able to do that. Avoid blunt or uneven layers with this face shape.

Long layered haircuts can be worn up, in a ponytail, or in different styles. furthermore, long layered haircuts can be given different looks at home using curling irons or hairs strengtheners. now, there are various stylizing products that can be used to give quantity or curls to your hair for a short-term style using the long layered hair cut as basis.

Skin is the only external visible index of aging. Pollution, congestion and the accumulation of waste in the skin tissues can accelerate the aging process. Aging of the skin depends not only on the person's age but also on her state of health. Occasionally a young person will have skin that is prematurely aged or an older person will have young, well-preserved skin. Aging of the skin is produced by three factors: cellular notification, dehydration of the cells and poor blood circulation.
Cellular Intoxification: Normal skin eliminates its cellular waste in a methodical way: if there is a slow down in tissue exchange or metabolism of the skin and oxygenation the cells become intoxified. Skin is a living organ that breathes and renews itself. Oxygenating the skin enables it to fight against pollution, prevent asphyxiation, congestion and the accumulation of waste, all of which can accelerate the aging process. Soothes Oxyliance Fluid: this skin therapy fluid boosts cellular activity and exchanges. A day and/or night fluid that quickly absorbs, it leaves a matte fresh finish and provides energy to the cells. The more available oxygen consumed by the cells, the better the improvement of cellular functions. Skin is also protected against environmental aggressors such as pollution and smoke. This wonderful fluid also helps tighten the pores so that they appear smaller and less noticeable. Excellent for congested, clogged skin types or skin lacking in radiance.
Dehydration of the Cells                                                                                                                                                                                          The skin is composed of approximately 80% water, and if it is properly irrigated it remains well-moisturized. Tissue aging is always accompanied by drying or dehydration. As the years go by, the skin is less and less able to withstand environmental influences, illness and so forth. Eventually it begins to degenerate, losing much of its water and being transformed into a more dense colloidal substance at every cellular level. When the skin loses its moisture, the deeper layers tend to dissipate while the upper layers which are only slightly hydrated under normal conditions become more dense. This is what produces keratinization. You can feel it: your skin is beautiful when it is perfectly hydrated. Whatever your skin type is, the maintenance of its hydration is an essential step! Sothys Hydroptimale is available in a concentrated formula as an ampoule or concentrate during your facial (listed under Spa Beauty Extras) and is also available as a product for home care. Hydroptimale treats the problem of skin dehydration, auto regulates the water flow, re-balances the water exchanges and deeply hydrates the skin while reinforcing the skin barrier. The most popular formula for home care is the Hydroptimale THI3 Light Crème this is an excellent treatment crème to strengthen the skin's natural protection and to continuously diffuse hydrating actives for up to 8 hours.
If blood circulation is poor, oxygen becomes less available for cell nourishment. A poorly vascularized organ is destined to age prematurely. In the skin, collagen and elastin fibers become frayed. The ability of the skin to regenerate is disabled. Cells accumulate at the outer layers since they are not eliminated regularly. These extra cells make the skin appear rough, coarse and dull. Sothys Desquacreme Deep Pore Cleanser is one of Sothys premiere formulations; chosen as winner in the Cleanser/Exfoliating category in Salon Plus Editors Choice Awards 2008! A granule-free emulsion, it is a recommended beauty treatment product for all regimes. Uses biotechnological extracts of wheat that penetrate into follicles, breaking down impurities and deposits and flushing them away to reveal a healthy glowing skin, from within.
